It still crashes and I have now tried it in both FL Studio and Reaper, so I'm going to reinstall There was a quirk during installation where it detected Kontakt already (Player?), but Service Center confirmed all was good.

I installed Komplete 9 which included the full version of Kontakt Serials were deregistered and ready for me I purchased (secondhand) a Komplete 9 physical DVD bundle with Maschine just before Christmas. This is where I first noticed the crashing I downloaded and installed Kontakt Player and used it for a few months What I do have is " KOMPLETE 9 Crossgrade" which contains all 12 DVD disc iso files when I click on 'Download'. Maybe I should hold out?Ĭlick to expand.It's not there, but yes I did get Kontakt via a Komplete license.

I wonder if a Kontakt update is just around the corner. I noticed that Replika just received an update that fixes bugs with 64-bit windows (8 / 10). Are there any tricks I could try first to see if I can fix the crashing? Do I have to uninstall and reinstall all of my Kontakt libraries (Orbit, Komplete 9)? Would dedicated Uninstaller software such as IObit be more effective? What are the residual files and folders that I should doublecheck are deleted? Is there a detailed step-by-step dummies guide to uninstalling and reinstalling Kontakt? I am also quite freaked out about reinstalling Komplete 9 all over again and all the potential new issues that could arise from doing so. So now after weeks of searching, trying and failing, I'm thinking about reinstalling it - but I've heard nightmare scenarios about residual registry files interfering with reinstalls and things like that. I also ran the Native Instruments 'VST Tool' and got all of my plugins in the same directories.

updated to the latest FL Studio, ASIO4ALL driver etc. It freezes ("not responding") the host, which has to be force-quit and it then does strange stuff to my operating system such as taking 15 minutes just to restart again. The crash occurs when minimising or closing the Kontakt window inside the host - especially when a sound is still playing or decaying. I recently downloaded a trial version of Reaper to see if Kontakt was more stable there but it also crashes intermitently. Kontakt 5 works fine in standalone but the VST is constantly crashing my host, FL Studio. I'm running Windows 10 64-bit and the latest version of Kontakt 5.
